Application: how can we keep this perspective?

When I’m done reading a section like this, or after I’ve been reading in The Knowledge of the Holy, watching the amazing splendor of God’s unsearchable creation in Moody Science Videos, or come out of a really wonderful worship time when I know I’ve seen the Holy One for Who He is, I am awed.
Those times are the height of my relationship with God. All the results that I listed for you at the end of the chapter are present. My focus is directly on this amazing Being, and I bow in humble adoration.
And it usually lasts for a while, too.
But then I go on with life and “forget” about Him.
I know that I’m not supposed to. I know that I’ll really be abiding in Christ the way I should when I keep the knowledge of the Holy in the forefront of my mind all the time.
However, I want to know if anyone else has this same struggle (of keeping God forefront) too. We will certainly talk about ways to meditate on God constantly in Chapter 11 (Sweet Meditations), but right now, how can I remember Who God is more often?
Discuss this: Responses to God

In this chapter I’ve listed some of the natural benefits of having our perspective of God right. Some of them are:
- Motivation to true worship
- Fear of the Lord
- Securely trusting
- Love increases
- Desire grows
- Repentance takes place
- I finally see myself as lost and lowly
- I praise and worship truly
Please tell of some of your experiences with these responses. God is great!

Which of God’s many attributes is most meaningful to you, meeting your most keenly felt need?

Either you are reading this book because you’ve already started to focus on knowing God, or else (hopefully) it is helping you make that more of a focus in your life now.
Please tell us how you came to know God, rather than just knowing a lot about Him.
My own story is outlined here.
Selah project

I’ve worked on a new project, but need some help finishing it: a little meditation book named Selah.
Each of God’s attributes (at least those He’s revealed to us, like the list we find in this chapter), are listed with Scripture verses.
Carefully selected, the Scriptures are arranged into three categories for meditation and prayer: The first is for reflection (and the verses are of a believer speaking to us, praising Him). I am thinking of adding quotes and explanations so that one can understand what this attribute means. An example is Psalm 145:18Psalm 145:18
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV
18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
“the Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon Him…”
The second section is in the first person as God speaking to us about this attribute (i.e. Hebrews 13:5Hebrews 13:5
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
“I will never leave thee nor forsake thee…”)
The third section is Scripture about this attribute, in the first person as us speaking to God, which can be used as a prayer of worship (example: Isaiah 12:2Isaiah 12:2
English: King James Version (1611) - KJV
2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
“God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid…”)
I have lots of Scriptures already, since I’ve been working on the booklet for some time, but would really appreciate ANY Scriptures you find that would fit in any of these three categories about any of God’s attributes.
Also, I have an idea to arrange the Scriptures around a beautiful peice of photography that would somehow reflect each attribute. Any suggestions or submissions?
Another idea I have is to include a worshipful hymn (meaning, one whose words are addressing God) for each attribute. Please give any ideas?
